Cloudesk Marketing

Send to the right people, and see what it earned.

Build segments from your CRM — lifecycle, source, tags, score, city, deals — and send them an email with your merge fields, an A/B subject and tracked links. Run events with a registration page and check-in. Then see which campaigns touched the contacts behind your won deals, against what you spent.

How it works

Three steps, no surprises

  1. 1

    Pick the audience

A segment is a set of rules over your CRM contacts. Only people who agreed to marketing and haven't unsubscribed are ever sent to.

  2. 2

    Send or host

Write the email (with {{first_name}} and friends) and send now or schedule it; or open an event with its own registration page.

  3. 3

    See what worked

Clicks per subject and per link, registrations and attendance, and the won deals each campaign touched first, last or along the way — against spend.

The tour

Every tool, up close.

  1. 01Campaigns

Every campaign, and what it earned.

Emails, events, ads and anything else you spend on sit in one list. Each one shows who it reached, who clicked and the won deals it touched — so you can see what's worth doing again.

    • Email, event, ads or other
    • Budget and spend on each
    • Won deals linked back to the campaign
    • Export the list any time
Every campaign with what it reached, clicks and won deals
  2. 02Email

Send to the right people, then see what landed.

Pick a segment, write a plain-text email and try two subject lines. Links are tracked, an unsubscribe line is added for you, and the results show clicks and the deals that followed.

    • Two subject lines to compare
    • {{first_name}} and company filled in
    • Tracked links, honest numbers — opens aren't guessed
    • Return on spend from won deals
The Diwali email: people reached, clicks, spend and the won deals it touched
  3. 03Events

Events with a sign-up page that fills itself.

Create a workshop or webinar and share its registration page. Sign-ups arrive with consent recorded, places are counted, and you check people in at the door.

    • A public registration page per event
    • Places left, closed when full
    • Check-in on the day
    • Export the guest list
Registrations for the home styling workshop, six of forty places, each with Check in
  4. 04Segments

Groups that keep themselves up to date.

A segment is a rule over your CRM contacts — like everyone tagged VIP — worked out fresh each time you send. Only people who agreed to marketing email are counted as reachable.

    • Built from CRM tags and details
    • Fresh at the moment of sending
    • Consent respected automatically

In detail

What you get with Cloudesk Marketing

Segments that stay fresh

Rules are applied when you send, so new contacts who match are included and people who've left aren't.

Good to know

We'd rather be upfront than surprise you later:

  • Emails are plain text and go through your workspace's email setup; without one they're recorded in the outbox, not delivered. Opens aren't tracked (plain text has no tracking pixel) — clicks are.
  • SMS and WhatsApp campaigns need a messaging provider and aren't available yet. Ad platforms (Google, Meta) aren't connected; enter spend yourself.
  • Marketing needs CRM. Only contacts who've agreed to marketing are sent campaign emails.

Questions people ask

How is a won deal credited?+

We look at every campaign that reached the deal's contact (sent, clicked, registered, attended, or a form with its utm_campaign) in the days before the deal was won. The first gets first-touch credit, the last gets last-touch credit, and they share it evenly in the linear view.

Can I send to someone who hasn't opted in?+

No. Campaign emails go only to contacts marked as agreeing to marketing, with an email, who haven't unsubscribed or asked not to be contacted.
